Character

Once you have created your character, play in games to gain Experience Points so that you can allocate Skill Points and Parameter Points to make your character stronger, faster, and more skilled.

Create Your Character:

Once you login to the video game, your first task will be to create your character! You can develop up to three different characters simultaneously once you subscribe. Do you want to be a hard-hitting power hitter? Would you prefer to throw a 99 mph fastball by your opponents? Or do you want to streak across the outfield to grab a line drive away from the opposing team?

Create your character/s on the game client by choosing any Clubhouse and going to the Locker Room. Create your character and customize his/her throwing arm, angle, body type, etc. Character names have an 8-digit maximum, so choose your name/s wisely!

Characters from each position start off with the same set of Parameter Points (PP) - body characteristics ranging from Arm Strength to Speed - but you can customize your character by allocating three (3) PP to whatever categories you hold most dear. To find out what each parameter offers and how to get them, click on the links above. Select from any of the nine position players below to see what different attributes are going to get you started in UBO!

P - C - 1B - 2B - SS - 3B - LF - CF - RF

Pitcher:
Excellent starting stamina, arm strength, and accuracy. Poor body strength and average quickness and speed.

Catcher:
Start with excellent arm strength and accuracy. Body strength and stamina is above average. Poor speed and quickness.

First Base:
Start off with great stamina, catching range, and body strength. Be weary of poor speed and arm strength.

Second Base:
Begin with good speed, quickness, and stamina. Average body strength, throwing accuracy, and catching range. Poor arm strength.

Short Stop:
Begin with excellent stamina. All other categories are evenly dispersed leaving a modest beginning in speed, body strength, accuracy, and strength.

Third Base:
Great overall player with above average arm strength and power. Lacks speed and accuracy to start with.

Left Field:
Excellent starting body strength, arm strength, and speed. Well below average throwing accuracy and quickness.

Center Field:
Good starting body strength, arm strength and excellent speed. Poor accuracy, and quickness with average catching range.

Right Field:
Excellent body strength mixed with good arm strength and speed. Poor quickness, accuracy, and catching range.

Experience Points (EP):
In order to advance to higher levels of performance in UBO - players must succeed on the field! Getting hits, striking out opposing batters, turning two on a double play: all baseball actions on the field relate to "Experience Points" being earned - or lost - in the game! To find out how EP is distributed, click on the EP Distribution link above.

Once enough EXP is earned, players will be able to "Level Up" and assign one (1) Skill Point to applicable skills and three (3) parameter points to any of the seven primary parameters of a typical baseball athlete!

To view your EP, visit your Character Info page on the www.ultimatebaseballonline.com site or inside the Locker Room on the client.

EP Leveling up requirements can be found here and in the Levels section of the How To Play page.

Skill Points (SP):
Once you have leveled up, allocate one (1) SP in any of the available pitches for pitchers, or in a specific hitting zone for batters. Allocating these points will increase your chances of reaching maximum ability. Straight pitches will be thrown harder, breaking pitches will have more arch. Hitting zone allocation will increase the percentage of contact within that zone.

All SP allocation takes place in the Locker Room on the game client.

Parameter Points (PP):
Are the points you credit your characters with to enhance their different capabilities. The following seven (7) categories will be available for enhancement with every Level Up. Once you have leveled up, allocate up to three (3) PP in any of the seven parameters.

Stamina - Arm Strength - Body Strength - Catching Range - Throwing Accuracy - Quickness - Speed

Stamina:
Increases your ability to burst your speed while in the field. When pitching, Stamina increases the total pitch count your character will be able to maintain top performance. Hitter's stamina is utilized so that maximum distances can be achieved on hits.

Arm Strength:
Increase the distance and speed of your throws on the field. When pitching, increased Arm Strength will give you added velocity on all fastball pitches and unlock more fastball pitch types.

Body Strength:
Hits the ball farther with every enhanced point.

Catching Range:
Increases the area surrounding your player in which he/she can catch the ball.

Throwing Accuracy:
Assures your throw will hit the intended target. While on the mound, increased Throwing Accuracy will create better arch on all breaking pitches and unlock more breaking pitch types.

Quickness:
Enhances your character's reaction time while base running and aide's in base stealing and sliding.

Speed:
Enhances the overall speed of your character. Defensively, speed helps you get to the ball faster with higher boosting rates.

All PP allocation takes place in the Locker Room on the game client.

Experience Point Distribution:
Please click on the following PDF to see how every baseball action credits players with Experience Points (EXP). Recording outs, hitting doubles, winning games, and more all earn different EXP totals for players - even negative points! Even the number of innings in the game you play in will affect your EXP totals. Open the EXP Point Distribution PDF to find out how.

I tested it, really looks like Dynasty Warriors, that's a good point, but apart from this, I don't know if it was just me (and I hope), I had heavy sound problems, and a permanent lag, for an action oriented game it's a big problem X3 Since it's a short CBT, I'll come back later, maybe the experience will be better, it has potential (if you like dumb and repetitive action like in DW of course, and I love that :D )

Hmm, all The Classes Average, And Balance Out Later On Around lvl 40+, You Were Facing Clerics, VS A Glad At Like lvl 15 lol. It's An Unfair Match Until The Gladiator Gets His Skill Where The Entanglement, And Other Spells Do Nothing To Him For 30 Seconds. But You're Right, Some Classes Are A Lil More Difficult To Fight Then others, At First.

I've played Savage 2 for a few months now, and I gotta say its quite good. I always discribed it more as a mix between TFT and WC3, but your description works too. If you're like me and like a good fps style game but have grown tired of the same old shotters out there, Savage 2 will offer you a refreshing spin with its melee oriented gameplay. Open minds and patience when you 1st get into it though, this game doesn't cater to noob gamers. Once you learn where to spend your skill points, the controls, items, and the melee aiming down this game owns!
