Hey everyone, patch 1.2 was recently released on the Public Test Server (PTS) and I was one of the people invited to test out the new content! There is quite a bit of stuff coming up in patch 1.2 but don’t worry, I will keep you updated via a series of installments!

In part of this preview, I will walk you through the following new features!

• New endgame PvP/PvE armor tier
• New Legacy armor for your alts
• New items added to the Daily Commendations vendor!

New tier of endgame PvP armor!

That is right! There are new sets coming out for PvP (Called War Hero - unrated and rated tiers). Both sets are identical in stats except rated version has a different color. Both sets are rating 146 with Q61 mods. They can be purchased at the same vendors you buy champion/battlemaster PvP gear from.

What does this mean for current PvP armor?

The limit for Warzone Commendations has being raised - 2000. New Ranked Warzone Commendations added as a new currency for playing in Ranked Warzones (cap not known).

Centurion sets will no longer be sold.

Champion sets will be renamed to Recruit XXX piece where XXX is the name of the class set (i.e. Stalker for assassins and shadows). These renamed sets are blue in quality and no longer have armoring/mods/enhancements that you can rip out. They can be brought for credits (10-30k credits per piece).

Battlemaster sets will no longer have a valor requirement or require Battlemaster commendations to purchase. They can now all be brought via Warzone Commendations! Here is a table of the exchange prices.

New War Hero PvP Armor

The new War Hero pvp armor set have two "tiers" Unranked and Ranked. Unranked are brought directly with Ranked Warzone Commendations while Ranked are traded in with the Unranked piece + small amount of Ranked Warzone Commendation. These Ranked pieces also require certain PvP ratings to wear. Keep in mind that implants/earrings/weapons/offhand do not have rated versions.

New Tier of endgame PvE armors

That is right, PvE players are not left out!

There are two sets of PvE gear - Black Hole and Campaign. They are purchased at the same vendors you buy Tionese/Columi/Rakata gear from. They require either a new currency called Black Hole Commendations or Campaign gear tokens. Unlike the PvP armor, the current PvE armor are not changed.

Black Hole commendations can be earned by defeating bosses in Nightmare Karagga’s Palace (not sure if this also applies to Nightmare Eternity Vault). They can be exchanged for a new tier of PvE armor that is rating 146 with Q61 mods.

Campaign tokens are dropped from the bosses on the hardmode version of the new operation - Explosive Conflict.

Both Black Hole gear and Campaign gear have the same ratings (146).

Mainhand weapons and relics are not purchased on the vendor and might be operation drops only.

Legacy Armor for your alts

As part of the new legacy system introduced in patch 1.2, you can purchase armor for your alts that are Bind to Legacy (BTL). There are 4 sets, two of them are "yellow" armor with stats that you can exchange with Construction kits obtained via world drops. The other two sets are orange armor without stats purchased with credits. These orange sets require either legacy level 10 or level 20 to purchase.

The vendors for these legacy armor are found in either Coruscant or Dromund Kaas. I have labeled them here to help you with locating them!

The 1st yellow set is the Inheritance set and is available for level 14-16 characters. Its armor rating is 50-54.

The 2nd yellow set is the Birthright set and is available for 29-33 characters. Its amoring rating is 84-86.

The 1st orange set is the Renowned set and requires Legacy level 10 and anywhere from 75k to 150 k credits to purchase per piece.

The 2nd orange set is the Exalted set and requires Legacy level 20 and anywhere from 100-250 k credits to purchase per piece.

Both orange sets do not have any stats or any mods/armoring/enhancement/augment slot. They are solely templates.

New items added to the Daily Commendations vendor!

If you have being doing your dailies on Ilum and Belsavis religiously, you will be happy to know that there are now new items added to the daily commendations merchant (Mission Support Vendors) in both planets.

Right now they are some relics that cost 200 Daily Commendations to purchase (better than the Rakata ones that drops from current nightmare raids!) There are also some artifice schematics to craft the +41 stats color crystal, and some construction kits (they cost 200 Daily Commendations as well).
