Group or Solo?

Since 2004, along with the release of World of Warcraft and other MMORPGs, many new concepts emerged, like multiple jobs, skill points, instancing, etc. which give players huge excitement. And in my opinion, the biggest change might be that grouping is more emphasized than ever before and it’s more challenging for players to solo. Are you a grouper or a soloer? And why do you prefer grouping or soloing?

Since Blizzard announced the new expansion WOW: Wrath of the Lich King, we have got a lot of inquiries and discussions about it. Plays focused on the upcoming WOW expansion and reacted differently. Today, we got the new question in the WOW forums, which is " New Expansion: more options for soloists? " A player wondered if the new expansion will throw a bone at soloists somehow. What do you think of it?

 What's Your Play Style?
Multiple game modes are indispensable for a good MMO. Some quests are designed for solo play while others are designed for group play. It's impossible for a player to finish all the required quests if he only plays solo or otherwise only plays group. For group style players, there must be sometime to be alone, and for solo style players, there must be sometime to be grouping. I always enjoy joining a team to resolve quesst in WOW, Maple Story and SoF. I don't know which you will choose in other games, jutst tell us. Feel free to share your experiences and opinions with us~

You forgot one thing on the solo list: "I get all the drops!!" xP.

I like grouping, feels like it kills the purpose of being in an mmorpg if everybody just do their own thing. But then I am not saying soloing is not acceptable or stupid; giving players the freedom to solo is also important because there are a lot of times when: a) you want to get money as quick as possible by getting all the drops, b) you know you won't be online for very long at that time and so you don't want to bother joining a party for 15 mins and leave, or c) you want to quest as fast as possible without having to wait a friend, or possibly other reasons.

Soloing is only for people who are hunting items, of course why play an MMO when your going to solo better play a console game or an FPS rather than an MMO.

Group is very important because you can gain more exp, meet new friends, maximize your skills and most of all that's the essence of playing an MMO.
