Quest

Questing is the best way to immerse yourself in your realm and Regnum. Through the quests, you will learn the heart of what fuels the warring realms, while advancing your player character.

There are 2 classes of quests in Regnum; character building quests and shadow quests. For most players, character building quests will be easy to find and help to level the player as well as improve spells and special abilities. The shadow quests are designed to fulfill the PvE experience by offering the player a complete start to finish story-line with hundreds of supporting quests. Some of these quests may be both challenging to find as well as challenging to complete.

To find most of the character building quests you can talk to the crier in each town. This character will have quests for you as well as be able to point you in the direction of other quests. To find discipline quests, you will need to talk to your trainer once you have chosen a discipline. This character will have quests for you as well as be able to point you in the direction of other quests. Some quests may require multiple players to complete.

To find shadow quests and epic quests you will need to explore the extent of each town and its surroundings. You will also need to pay attention to hints that town folk may mention in conversation.

Taking a quest:
You can find character and discipline quests by talking to the Town Crier who is located in the center of each town or by talking to your trainer.

When you speak to a NPC (Non-Player Character) a window of topics that the NPC can discuss will appear. If a quest is available you will find it listed here. It is best to read all the information the NPC has available before going right to the quest. Clicking on the quest title in the topic window will explain the quests at hand with objectives and rewards. You can click on "accept" to take the quest or "decline" to not accept the quest. If you choose not to accept a quest at this time, the NPC will still have the quest available for you at a later time.

Once you have accepted the quest, the quest will be listed in your quest window. The quest window can be accessed by clicking on the goblet icon on the bottom right of your action bar. You will see all your active quests and your current task for each quest listed in this window. By clicking on the "info" button next to each of the listed quests you can recall more detailed information about each quest as well as choose to cancel the quest. Canceling a quest at any point will not give you any part of the reward for completing the quest, even if you have completed some of the tasks required to complete the quest. Reward for a quest comes only when completing each task and talking to the end NPC for the reward. Canceling the quest will return the quest to the NPC that offered the quest and will allow you to accept the quest at a later time.

Note: Many NPCs offer more than one quest but may require you to complete the current quest being offered before offering the next quest.

While completing a quest you may experience the following:

If you are tasked to kill x-amount of a certain creature you will find completion status information appear as you kill each creature required for the quest. If you are tasked with multiple objectives in a quest you will find the objectives listed in the quest window under "info" for that quest. This will help you track what your status is in the active quest.

If you are tasked with talking to or interacting with another NPC, you will find your target NPC with a yellow "!" above their head.

Once you have completed all objectives of an active quest you will return to a NPC for reward. This NPC may not be the same as the NPC that gave you the quest. The name of the NPC will be listed in the quest window for reference and upon finding the NPC they will be denoted by a yellow "!" above their head. Interacting with the final NPC will give you your reward and complete the quest.

Note: Questing in Regnum adds some light competition to PvE game play by tracking all player quest completions and displaying the results of the "best of the best" on the "War Status" page of the web site. It is for this reason that the shadow quests and epic quests may be more challenging to find as well as complete.

However, the next few weeks will be very interesting for the US and the European fans of this game ;). Indeed this game kicks as and in my opinion Diablo 3 can't beat Hellgate in any way. Hellgate is definitely an awesome game!

the only reason that its similar to perfect world is because its the same graphic engine. i love this graphic engine because you don't need a high tech alien computer to function the game with amazing visuals! anyway, the ancient civilazations concept is original and cool. i can't wait to try this game!)

its really a great game with its own story and history(there were different Allods games for like, 10 years?) and though it really resembles wow in its design and graphic it surely rivals it
