What is Ragnarok?
Ragnarok Online is an online role-playing game based on Norse mythology. Inspired by the fantasy anime written by MJ Lee, Ragnarok Online is an ever-expanding world of exotic lands and never-ending journeys set in a 3-D environment. Users can customize characters and venture off alone or in groups in far-flung fantasy realms full of mystery and peril.

Over 20 different job classes

Players can select from a wide range of job classes that suit their individual playing style. Each job class comes with a unique array of skills and abilities. The strengths and weaknesses of these classes encourages to players of different types to form parties.

Lush Graphics and Sound

Ragnarok features hand-drawn, anime-rendered characters set onto realistic 3D backgrounds. The graphical design of the environments has been inspired by mythological and historical elements from various cultures around the world. Similarly, the music score is a diverse collection of eclectic songs drawn from various genre inspirations. The huge music library composed by TeMP, ensures that users will rarely be bored with the same song twice.

Windows Oriented Interface

Ragnarok has an easy-to-control interface. Most of the basic functions can be controlled by using the mouse. Users can also customize the interface to optimize usability and comfort.

Unique Network Technology

AEGIS is a unique array of individual servers linked to together to create a series of zone servers that connect that vast worlds and people within Ragnarok Online. This allows a tremendous number of people to meet in a single world and share the experience of Ragnarok together.

Story of Ragnarok

After the long and gruesome war between God, Humans, and Demons...
Scarred during the dangerous moments in battle, and avoiding total destruction altogether, the Humans, God and Demons entered a long truce

The 1000 years of fragile and forged peace...

In the land of Midgard, the existence of peace eventually led the humans to erase their memories of the scars and hardships of the wars in the past. Not remembering the faults of the past, culture was spreading throughout the land along with selfishness, corruption, and arrogance.

Then one day, strange occurrences started happening, breaking the balance that once existed in Midgard. There came a strange howl from the boundaries that divided the humans, God, and demons; creatures began attacking; increasing earthquakes and hail - and...
The mysterious legend of demons...
As the fragile peace began to fall apart, stories about the parts of Ymir, protecting the peace, began to spread among the adventurers. Forgetting the true nature of it, people set out to seek each of the pieces for their own selfishness, and the wealth that would come with it...

lol...i hope pvp will be epic... it would be cool to see body parts being blown to bits.... i was just wondering...will Fallout have a Mage/Priest type class??? lol..as far as i remember...nobody uses magic in fallout..coz everyone in Fallout uses guns and melee only....

However, the next few weeks will be very interesting for the US and the European fans of this game ;). Indeed this game kicks as and in my opinion Diablo 3 can't beat Hellgate in any way. Hellgate is definitely an awesome game!

the only reason that its similar to perfect world is because its the same graphic engine. i love this graphic engine because you don't need a high tech alien computer to function the game with amazing visuals! anyway, the ancient civilazations concept is original and cool. i can't wait to try this game!)

Is like a mix of of western and chinese fantasy with no class or lvl I deffeintly try it!

awsome i wish they talked a bit about the nice graphic pics if the online parts of the game run smoothly online then all shall be great..... altho i hope they use way better and faster servers then what they now call classic game online servers >.>

its really a great game with its own story and history(there were different Allods games for like, 10 years?) and though it really resembles wow in its design and graphic it surely rivals it
