FAQ

•When does registration for the Closed Beta begin?
Registration begins on April 24th, which is actually the same day the Closed Beta launches. Players who have successfully completed the registration will have the opportunity to play The Legend of Ares immediately.

•How do I register?
Registration will be a two part process. To receive a beta key and participate in our Closed Beta, players must register themselves with IGN (a link to the IGN Registration will be provided on the launch date). To actually play the game, players will have to create an account with The Legend of Ares on the "Sign up" page.

•How many people will be able to participate in the Closed Beta?
We will be having two Closed Betas, and they will both be on a first come, first served basis. IGN will be giving out 5,000 keys for the first Closed Beta, and an undisclosed number for the second.

•How many servers/realms will you have?
During the Beta Test the number of servers will depend on population size.
For the time being, there will only be one server for the Closed Betas.

•How much will the game cost, once released?
The Legend of Ares will be free, with the option of upgrading your character using premium items. Premium Items can be purchased off of the website, but are not required to play the game.

•What is the basis/storyline of the game?
The full story of The Legend of Ares can be found off the Introduction tab on the navigation bar to the left. But simply put, Ares, the Greek god of war, hatched a scheme to increase his power by spreading his influence to foreign lands.
In the midst of this plan, another god, Kulam, gathered his people to thwart Ares.
As a result of this heavenly conflict, the people of the continent of Arabic plunge into war.

•How do I enchant my items?
First you?ll need to find an item with slots. Slots are indicated by a (1) or (2).
The numbers indicate the number of slots. Enchantments are done using enchantment stones. Locate an accessory merchant in town. Choose to enchant and place the item and stones in the merchants menu. Click "OK" and the item will be enchanted.
WARNING: Enchanting an item with stones will increase the level requirement for that item.

•How do I use skills?
Open up skills menu by pressing ctrl and the "S" button.
A skill list tree of all the items available will appear. Drag the skills you wish to place in the hot key bar. Use the corresponding number on the bar to use the skills in the hot key bar. But simply pressing the number will not execute the skill, it will only highlight the skill to use with the right mouse button.

•How do I travel to other towns?
To travel to other villages and maps you must locate the Teleporter within the town.
The teleporter will give a variety of choices to travel such as dungeons, towns, and general areas of the map. Traveling to some of the other lands require reaching a certain level.

Most quests are given to the player by the Questor Pippen. When a new quest is available to the player there will be a flashing box with a Q. This is the quest tip box. Check it every time you level and it will give you directions on what quests will be available to you.

However, the next few weeks will be very interesting for the US and the European fans of this game ;). Indeed this game kicks as and in my opinion Diablo 3 can't beat Hellgate in any way. Hellgate is definitely an awesome game!

the only reason that its similar to perfect world is because its the same graphic engine. i love this graphic engine because you don't need a high tech alien computer to function the game with amazing visuals! anyway, the ancient civilazations concept is original and cool. i can't wait to try this game!)

its really a great game with its own story and history(there were different Allods games for like, 10 years?) and though it really resembles wow in its design and graphic it surely rivals it
