Siege Engines
When it comes to city conquest and expanding the boundaries of your kingdom, nothing beats the raw power of a siege engine. There a variety of siege weapons in the game (others can be mounted on player ships and city walls), each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Some are built for mobility and rapid assault, while others are better suited for close combat. All are virtually indispensible if you want to break through a powerful city's defenses.

Basic Siege Weapon Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Crossbow Battery | Extremely mobile; capable of firing while on the move. |
| Catapult | Extremely mobile; capable of firing while on the move. |
| Eagle Chariot | Moderate mobility; must transform into attack state to fire; capable of inflicing heavy damage. |
| Thunder Chariot | Moderate mobility; must transform into attack state to fire; capable of inflicing heavy damage. |
| Battering Ram | Ideal for close combat; high armor points rating and considerable attack power. |
Note: The table (above) is not a comprehensive list of siege engines; additional weapons available in the game.
Time to Fight Fire with Fire

Weapons For Sale
In Kingdom Heroes, siege engines are tied to the guild system. Once you've collected the necessary funds, you can buy one from a siege weapons dealer. Purchased weapons will be transferred into your guild's possession.
In the Driver's Seat
You must have the required privileges (the guild leader can assign these) to summon a siege engine. After selecting your desired weapon via the armory interface, the siege engine will appear and you will automatically become its driver.
Bombs Away!
As noted above, different siege engines have varying degrees of mobility and individual strengths and weaknesses. Once you're in the driver's seat, you'll have access to a number of weapon-specific abilities to wage war on your enemies.
Player Groups & Siege Engines
Siege weapons are most effective when complemented with a full escort of players and their NPC soldiers. Players can send and receive group invites at any time, even while they're operating a siege engine.
Battle Ships
In Kingdom Heroes, multiple players can collaborate together aboard the same vessel and take on other player ships in player-versus-player (PvP) combat on the high seas. Because most regions of the world map are accessible by water, ships are the fastest form of travel during a kingdom war. If your guild or faction has a dock in its possession, ships are an efficient and effective method of transporting allied players off to war at a moment's notice.

Buying a Ship

Summoning Your Vessel
Head to the docks in any port city and visit your local Water Guard Captain. Any player with the required privileges (the guild leader can assign these) is able to summon and command a guild battleship. Speaking with the dockmaster brings up a ship selection interface (the more ships your guild owns, the more that will be listed). From this screen, you can choose the particular ship you want to summon. Once you make a choice and confirm your selection, your ship will appear in the harbor roughly 30 seconds later.
Captain on Deck
You will automatically be teleported on board the vessel just 5 seconds after the ship spawns. Additional players can manually board the vessel by jumping onto the deck or climbing up one of the stern ladders.
Note: If you haven't moved your ship from its spawn location when another player summons their vessel, your ship will disappear and you will need to re-summon it. To avoid this, navigate your ship away from the port, as soon as possible.

There are a variety of roles players can fill on board a battleship. Although you aren't required to have a complete crew on board to use a ship, if you plan on putting up a good fight against the competition, you'll probably want an experienced navigator at the helm with a full complement of gunners, repairmen, and raiders.
- Navigator – Enter the helm to become the ship's navigator. Use the ‘WASD' keys to control the movement of the vessel.
- Gunner – Man the cannons, ballistae, trebuchets, and other mounted weapons aboard your ship by right-clicking them.
- Repairman – We're under heavy fire! Keep your ship afloat during battle by right-clicking a damaged position and using the repair ability.
- Raider – All hands already on deck! Make yourself useful by firing off ranged weapons and casting attack spells across the water.
Note: Unmanned ships and weapons are extremely vulnerable to enemy attack. A seasoned captain and crew must be on their guard at all times.
