Character

The myriad races who call Istaria home (known collectively as the Living Races) have borne the terrible yoke of war and suffering for as long as most can remember. The Undead hordes continually threaten to encroach upon the civilized populations of Istaria. The Living Races must constantly struggle to battle the invasions of the Undead along the Frontier lands. Now it is up to you to choose your role, be it Dragon, Human, Elf, Dwarf, Fiend, Saris, Sslik, Gnome, or Half-Giant, and find your place in the world of Istaria.

Monster

The world of Istaria is inflicted with a plague of beings seeking to destroy the Living Races. Leading this horde of death and destruction is the massive armies of undead. The Withered Aegis have gathered devastating weapons against the living hordes in an effort to claim the entire land as their own. The Living Races are counting on you to join the battle.

 

Crafting

Once you have chosen your role in Horizons, you will have to determine what skills and activities you wish to pursue. If crafting is your profession of choice, Horizons offers you a tremendous suite of creative opportunities. Build and produce the things you?ve always wanted. Launch a prosperous business to sell your wares, or be generous and share amongst friends and weary travelers. Help your fellow players become distinctive with a new hairstyle, outrageous tattoos or an entirely new wardrobe.

Community

With Horizons, you may purchase a plot of land upon which to build your dream homestead. Community is not just about your house; Horizons allows you to build machines, merchant shops, and furniture to decorate your homestead, and gives you landscaping abilities to add trees, shrubs and other plant life. Be warned, however; a community of houses and shops does not deter the Undead forces bent on taking back civilized lands.

Adventure

There are many challenges in the untamed frontiers of Horizons. Forces of Undead and other monsters roam the land. If you choose to, you can become a protector of the realm as a warrior, wizard, scout or healer. Gain fame and fortune by adventuring on the edges of civilization. Grow in power as you slay powerful beasts, complete epic quests and find fabulous riches. You and your friends can fly solo and battle the Undead at your own pace, or you can become a part of a greater vision by joining a guild.
