History of Genesis AD

Conflict on Earth

With the decline of earth's resources, mankind's time on the planet draws to a close. The nations of the world convene to form the EEPO, a group dedicated toward the preservation of earth's habitability.

Dawn of Space Exploration

Mass conflict engulf the earth as pockets of resistance take up arms against the EEPO. War and hostility have been plaguing the planet for almost 200 years, when a space probe locates a system of planets similar to our own solar system. On the surface of one of the planets, scientists locate a holy grail of current space exploration—water. Subsequent manned expeditions yield other immense finds, such as Critorium, an abundant fuel mineral that revolutionizes transport and travel for humanity. These discoveries bring the world together and spur new and further investment in space exploration.

Discovery

Then, in A.D. 2316, the Keinon Expedition locates and lands on a planet on which for the first time, humans encounter extraterrestrial vertebrates: small fish-like creatures named ‘Goniosh' by the team. A large contingent of more scientists and commercial prospectors fueled by earthly discord and yet again, depleting resources, immediately descends upon the planet, named USP-265, in hopes of locating new mineral deposits.

Disastrous Encounter

Dismissing warnings from the Keinon Expedition team, the new surveyors traverse the new world quickly with little regard for danger. Isolated reports of bipedal creatures are known, but receive little consideration. Soon, a violent encounter with a large group of bipeds sparks conflict, and it is revealed to the humans that these bipeds are more than animals—they are an intelligent, weapon-wielding, civilization. The bipeds wipe out the expedition, and the survivors return home, scarred.

Formation of the Elite Group

Under the suggestion of the EEPO, the nations of the world again come together as they did three centuries ago to form teams of soldiers, mercenaries, and scientists, this time to land on planet USP-265 and secure a future for mankind.

Known together as EXTEAM, these new elite soldiers will train in a virtual battlefield and Eventually travel to the new planet to secure a future for the human race.
