Eligium Overview

Eligium is a free-to-play MMO, or massively multiplayer online game, in which many players strive, either individually or in groups, to protect the expansive world of Eligium from the demons. Along the way, they experience adventures and face countless dangers from the perspective of their personalised in-game character.

Players battle mighty opponents and complete innumerable diverse and exciting quests. As they accomplish these tasks, players experience the personal development of their character as well as communicative and strategic exchanges with other players.

Eligium combines a game depth which is unusual even for an MMO with an opulent range of features. This allows players to customise their journey through the game to suit their own preferences. Through their character, they experience their own complex, multifaceted adventure MMO, leaving nothing to be desired.

Eligium is expected to enter the beta testing phase at the end of 2011,and slated for release in Europe in the spring of 2012.what's more,Eligium will initially be released in English, German, French and Polish versions will follow.

Game Features Different From Other MMOs

Not only does Eligium's surprisingly wide range of features offer a new gaming experience, but it also makes the game significantly more customisable and flexible than conventional MMOs.

Classes and Races

The playable Panda race is not the only feature that will strike the gamer at first glance. In Eligium, there is more for players to discover: more new races, but also some well known ones, as well as the opportunity to set their character apart from other players' characters - and particularly from characters in any other MMO - through the 'Virtues' system.There are 4 races (Pandas, Elves, Viridis, Humans) and 5 classes (Warriors, Hunters, Druids, Mages, Monks) to choose from.You can play as a male or female if you choose the Human, Virid or Elven race. However, the Pandas are only available as male characters.

Players Have Absolute Freedom to Try Things Out

The players' preferred gaming style and their desires take absolute precedence in Eligium in a way different to any other game. Players select a specialisation for their character in order to discover, learn and experience fascinating skills. In Eligium, as opposed to conventional MMOs, players have absolute freedom to try things out. They can, for example, reset their choice of specialisation and forge a new path. If a player has become particularly fond of a certain skill or weapon, they can take advantage of Eligium's revolutionary skill enhancement and weapon improvement systems.

Levelling-Up System

Eligium offers an unusually fast and pleasant levelling-up system. In order to increase their level, players must earn experience points (XP). Experience points are primarily gained through completing quests but can also be won in combat against monsters. Every action relating to levelling up is integrated into the game's plot. Additional combat, so-called grinding, is therefore unnecessary. Players who wish to level up faster can additionally complete daily quests, which offer an additional source of the experience points required in order to level up.

Choose a faction and test your mettle amongst hundreds of players on massive battlefields.

Open PvP Mode

In addition to the diverse quests, battling fellow players also plays an important role in Eligium. Therefore, we are planning to make a variety of server types available, including PvP servers.

In addition, we are currently working on PvP battlefields with various modes, on which players can find out how they compare to one another. Those who would enjoy not only one-on-one PvP action, but also guild-versus-guild or even faction-versus-faction, can look forward to guild and faction battlefields for up to 200 participants per side.

Mount and Pet Rearing System

Another interesting aspect to the game is the unique and ingenious mount and pet rearing system, in which players get to raise their own mounts and battle pets from an egg to a strong, fully grown creature. And, aside from being able to raise them, Eligium's mounts themselves are also better than those in many other MMOs - players can even execute combat moves atop their trusty steeds.

About the Closed Beta

The Eligium community management team announced that the launch of the Closed Beta phase will be the 19th December 2011.
