FAQ

1.Where can I download DANCE! from?

To get the latest version of DANCE! directly from us, please go to the DOWNLOAD page.

2. How do I become a BETA tester?

To test our games before they get officially launched, you just need to register before the launch. We then (to keep everything fair) work on a first come, first served basis. So Acclaim will contact the testers in groups until the game goes live. There are two major test periods. CLOSED BETA & OPEN BETA. We are now just entering CLOSED BETA.

3. What does CLOSED BETA mean?

Closed Beta means that a small group of people are helping us test the first playable version of the game. This is usually just a thousand people or so who receive a limited version of the game. Early testers are important because they can help us find problems as early as possible. The work done by the testers at this stage is incredibly valuable.

4. What does OPEN BETA mean?

Open Beta means that a large group of people (several thousand) will help us polish the game before release. It's the last chance to fix things before the game is released to the general public, so we depend on our Open Beta testers to give us the best feedback. As developers, we really appreciate their help.

5.How do I Register a FREE Account with Acclaim so I can play?

First, you only need ONE account to play any Acclaim game, so if you have one already, you can play now. If you still need to Register, it's easy and should only take a few moments, just visit the DANCE! homepage and sign up.

6. How do the Keyboard controls work?

This is an important question. You could use A, S, W, D or you could use the Cursor keys, however the people winning the championships use two hands. So they pick two buttons for their left hand, and two buttons for their right hand. You can decide which keys you want to use, but definitely try this out.

NOTE: As you can see, we let you set up 2 keys for each arrow, just in case you change your mind while playing.

7. I want to define my own keys, how do I do that?

Just click on the little Yellow Wrench (Tool) Icon at the top of the screen. When the window pops up, make sure the KEYBOARD tab is selected. To change a key, just click on it, then press the key you want to replace it with.

Make sure to click SAVE, then QUIT when you are done setting up the keys the way you want them.

NOTE: As you can see, we let you set up 2 keys for each arrow, just in case you change your mind while playing.

8. How do the Dance Pads work?

We have a Special Area dedicated to the Dancing Pads, please just click http://phpbb.acclaim.com/dance/viewtopic.php?t=146.

9.What are Acclaim Coins?

There are three kinds of currency in DANCE! - Coins, Tokens and Points. You win Points and Tokens in the game. Use Points and Tokens to buy many items in the game store. For the Premium items, you will need Coins. To add Coins to your account just simply go to your Account page.

10.What's the HIT MUSIC LIBRARY?

Some of the best Music Artists in the world have agreed to let us put their music into this game. We cover the costs so that you can listen and dance to a selection of these songs, but if you wish to unlock more, you can purchase access to the entire "HIT MUSIC LIBRARY". This simply means complete access to everything we have available.

I tested it, really looks like Dynasty Warriors, that's a good point, but apart from this, I don't know if it was just me (and I hope), I had heavy sound problems, and a permanent lag, for an action oriented game it's a big problem X3 Since it's a short CBT, I'll come back later, maybe the experience will be better, it has potential (if you like dumb and repetitive action like in DW of course, and I love that :D )

interesting.MIGHT be the crusader or warrior since there is no duel blading class (considering if one of the classes gets the ability too)

Hmm, all The Classes Average, And Balance Out Later On Around lvl 40+, You Were Facing Clerics, VS A Glad At Like lvl 15 lol. It's An Unfair Match Until The Gladiator Gets His Skill Where The Entanglement, And Other Spells Do Nothing To Him For 30 Seconds. But You're Right, Some Classes Are A Lil More Difficult To Fight Then others, At First.

I've played Savage 2 for a few months now, and I gotta say its quite good. I always discribed it more as a mix between TFT and WC3, but your description works too. If you're like me and like a good fps style game but have grown tired of the same old shotters out there, Savage 2 will offer you a refreshing spin with its melee oriented gameplay. Open minds and patience when you 1st get into it though, this game doesn't cater to noob gamers. Once you learn where to spend your skill points, the controls, items, and the melee aiming down this game owns!
