The PlayStation VR exclusive Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku has been released by JETMAN in Japan now. It is developed by the same team responsible for the original Kowloon’s Gate, telling a dark take that takes place deep within Kowloon Walled City. An architectural complex made by more than 300 high-rise buildings, interconnected by a huge maze of dark corridors, Kowloon Walled City was probably one of the most densely populated place on earth, a city in the city located in the heart of Hong-Kong’s Kowloon District. Set in 1997, the Kowloon Walled City is just a memory of the past due to its demolition.

However, the city still exists in the Yin realm (realm of the dead), and suddenly it reemerged from there to re-take its own space in the Yang realm (the realm of the living ones). The Hong-Kong Supreme Feng Shui Council declared that if the two realms will be not divided again a very tragic era would fall, and so in order to rebalance the Yin-Yang factions, you must wander through the Kowloon Walled City in search of the four sacred symbols that could set the things right.

In Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku players will interact with a plethora of bizarre characters, living through an adventure filled with cyberpunk elements combined with the Taoist traditions. For those looking for more information, here’s the original trailer revealed for Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku.

In addition to launching the full title, JETMAN has also offered a demo version of Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku for free. However, both releases are currently only available via the Japanese PlayStation Store, and as such those wishing to download either edition will require a Japanese PlayStation Network account.
