Aion(CN) Open Beta First Impression--04-13-2009

This review is partly reproduced from chimps's MMOsite article.

Well once I finally got to log in all servers was bussy (Of course) once I finally managed to get inside the server I was stuck in a queue line for 1 hour and 30 min but once that timer went away I could create my account and quit game and next time I logged in I would emidiently (Without queue) get inside. So once you create your char you can log in whenever you want. Anyways once I created my char where you can choose over 30+ hairstyles 20+ faces 10+ tatoos 20+ accessories 4+ voices (Yes voices you decide what you will sound like when you scream out the spells you cast or scream when attacking) Then I finally got to play the game and my first reaction was, hmm graphics seems worse than I seen but it looked more like Atlantica Graphics so it was fine but then I quickly realised my graphic settings is on low so I turned everything up to highest and I was amazed how amazing graphics were.

(Sadly I can't imput screenshots because it keeps giving me error but I have a before and after screen once I get to edit and get it to work) Anyways I found a language pack to completely translate game and everything was amazingly translated I understood all quests I was given and I could easily lvl up so basicly it was fun.

Combo System.

This game has a combo system no not by using spells all the time and it says combo x1 x2 like cabal. instead it goes something like this. You have a combo skill tree where you can see what combos does, Knock Down enemies or something else. Once I got to lvl 7 I got my final combo skill and I casted my first ice spell it only slowed him down and damaged him then I pressed quickly the same spell again and it casted a new spell who knocked him back. The combo tree also explains if you knock them back all the time or just sometimes if sometimes arrow is red if all the time it's black. It's hard to explain but something like that. This is a cool feature in the game and I love it.

Graphics And Animation.

Im no expert when it comes to deciding if graphics and animation is good but in this case my opinion is that this game is the best graphic game out atm. When I first created my character the characters looked amazing the faces the hair everything was so detailed. then I joined game and the sky was the best part it was very detailed then I looked on ground and it also was amazing and I have too say the characters look amazing ingame your clothes moves with the wind it looks awesome. The water is also so detailed you will love the water alot in the game it looks so nice and beautiful. Whole game is beautiful it will get awards for graphics for sure :). Yes I said amazing alot but it truly is.
