Gaia Online announced the launch of its new browser-based flash MMO zOMG! with over 10,000community members invited to the CB. The game is free and needn't to download a client.

Designed in a flash-based environment that is free and requires no downloads, players will interact in
zOMG! by engaging in quests, battling monsters, exploring the beautiful worlds and socializing with
friends. As an extension of the Gaia Online virtual world, the MMO game extends the current Gaia Online
offerings, like mini games, customizable avatars, forums, and numerous creative and social outlets.

MMO Overview

This MMO takes the full-fledged, millions-strong community of Gaia Online and brings their fictional home to life in the form of a huge virtual world to be explored and enjoyed.

Players create Gaian versions of their own personalities, adventuring through stories, struggles, and challenges, discovering a world of rich characters and wild humor, all displayed with the visual style of well-loved anime artwork.
Players can combine forces with other players, forming teams to claim fame and glory as they travel through the world, or they can play the game alone, braving each danger and challenge with only their own skill set to bring them through it.

But the world is not composed of only combat-oriented challenges. There are many ways to play in this world, whether doing favors for characters in the world, playing games, meeting at dance halls or in towns, watching movies together, meeting to race cars, or just simply exploring the landscape.

This MMO is a broad, new game in a widely-varying world that is FREE TO PLAY with NO DOWNLOAD required.
Where else can you team up to fight a huge stone dragon...and then kick back your heels and watch a full feature film with your friends in a virtual theater? This is a world like no other you've experienced. Come try it yourself. You just might find yourself with a new home.

Ring Rules

As players move through the world, fulfilling tasks and exploring new areas, they will find many treasures and items of value. Some of those items are special rings that can be worn to give the wearer unusual powers. These powers can include anything from moving a little faster, being a bit luckier or healing faster, to more extreme examples, such as creating self-animated swords that fight for you, projecting movable force fields around allies, to even crazier things like wrapping an opponent in duct tape or throwing an angry hornet's nest like a grenade.

Players can easily shuffle their character abilities around after receiving them by merely taking the rings off and wearing different ones. This flexibility of character skill sets makes for a very convenient and fun advancement system for your character.

The World

The world of Gaia is widely varied with lots of local flavor differentiating one area from another. There are many areas to experience, whether open grass fields, dense jungles, sandy beaches, ancient ruins, or even entertainment boardwalks, public towns or zen gardens to journey through.

The areas described below are only the areas open immediately at Launch. The world of Gaia will continue to grow steadily after Launch, so stay tuned for even more details later.
