Wurm Online is a community-centric fantasy MMORPG developed in Java and OpenGL that strives to emulate real life in a medieval fantasy setting. Compared with 3D MMOG, Wurm Online's graphics are indeed a little too rough, though it requires low computer specifications. Nevertheless, considering it is a game developed in JAVA, its technological significance is far more pround than its entertaining charm. The game freshens up the traditional leveling system. The player's character will level up based on the number of the skills he has learnt and the number of unhealable wounds he has. The game adopts a a human-centered design approach. The players will live in different towns and computer-controlled guards will guarantee the safety of the inhabitants. Outside the town, players can do everything they want, but if they violate rules, their reputation will be decreased.
