Sunnyvale, California - July 2nd, 2008 - Gala-Net has announced that it will publish its latest title, Luna Online, a Massive Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) developed by Eya Interactive, for release in North America, through GaIa-Net's game portal, www.gpotato.com.
Luna Online is a free to play MMORPG that takes place in a radiant fantasy world where the Human Race has united with the forces of the elves to defend their land against the evil that has spread throughout. Every enemy defeated brings the world closer to peace. Luna Online's exciting blend of superior graphics, cute character design, and fast paced action, is sure to appeal to all fans of the MMORPG genre. "Eya Interactive is one of the foremost gaming companies currently out there in the industry. Mr. Jungyeon Han, Eya Interactive's CEO, is among the first generation of online game developers in Korea. We are delighted to work with such a great company and people," said Jikhan Jung, CEO of Gala-Net. "With extensively unparalleled collaboration between Eya Interactive and Gala-Net, I am sure that this game will be the most successful within the North American Market."
A defining feature of Luna Online is its "Match Making System", which pairs up users to join other users based on their character make up. For example, a player with low armor would be paired up with a tanker. Once a player finds their "match," they are awarded additional powers, making each "Match Making" session a uniquely beneficial experience. Luna Online stands out from other MMORPGs with its exciting "Family System". A group of up to five players can become a Family and control the operation of a Farm. Each Farm contributes to the Family's well being and status. These community-based aspects of Luna Online promise to separate it from many MMORPGs and to bring players from all over the world together.
Other Features of Luna Online:
3 main classes which can be upgraded a maximum of 5 times.
Over 40 different "Jobs".
A gaming experience friendly to both casual and avid gamers.
A multitude of large, involved quests for nearly every character level.
A unique set of highly animated Emoticons and character motions.
All MMOs have the same basic elements just like all fantasy books have the same basic things in them. It's just little tiny differences between one and the other so it really doesn't matter wether it's korean or what ever just play it.
Well its just cultural values.
Japan-China and most of asia= Society > Individual, so most people like to play in groups and because their social skills are not that good (mostly because of the behavior that the society upholds) they tend to compensate it at the games. So the party system is the core of tha game togheter with the grinding.
US and most of America= Individual > Society, most people like to play solo in a complicated and long storyline, parties? most people just dont like to share the XP and even items, well its just like WOW, people can hit lvl 50+ just soloing. Party is most used for raids and boss.
I've got to say the first time I watched this I was totally amazed, the character designs by Hyung-Tae Kim looked beautiful. Everything from the character's movement and facial expression moved fluidly, and the landscapes looked great. Judging from these features the game would most likely be pay to play. I'm guessing the reason people are saying this might come to PS3 is because NCsoft signed a contract with Sony, so there MIGHT be a possibility. Overall the video is in' addicting and I love it!!!! Mabi is fairly easy if you play it for longer than 2 weeks. But does it need skill? Hardly. It takes mental conditioning to the system, and repetition of the few successful tactics. A trained monkey can do this crap.
The PvE system takes some getting used to for sure, but when you learn a set of tactics to use against the basic types of dungeon monsters, that's all you'll ever use (from a range of 5 chains of skills/attacks).
Same goes for bosses. You use the fire-counter (maybe slow walk if it's a stomping boss) and you can do it. Again pretty basic...
I just have too say im annoyed about the time you have too wait till a game releeases sometimes I have no games too play and I go crazy and just try to find a new one on internet i find one but DAMN its korean NO I go crazy and I start hating koreans cause they always get
great games and we cant create the game until 1 year after or so so basicly blade & soul coming 2010 or w/e and aion 2009 YAY gota wait forever Colaman made a comment on When MMORPGs was Fun?
Don't know what NCsoft is up to, but whatever they are doing, they are doing it nicely, and it ain't hurting nobody. Just love how NCsoft is now investing in games that will stand a chance to live just as long as Maplestory (don't you DARE boo me). Another game to make room in my hard-drive for.
But why they always make games in such catoon graphics?
Really I don't get it-.- to be honest i like the skill effects and so on but why why using that character disign? i mean i wanna play a game in which the chars look like mature figures and not like little freaking kiddys with overdimensional weapons>.<
