Warrior Epic: Closed Beta Review -- 06-16-2008
KeyWord: Warrior Epic,Review, Closed Beta,Possibility Space,Neramaar Date: 06-16-2008
Summary: So as you can see Warrior Epic has some big plans, and they are plans that I am personally very exited about. Many of the games I've played recently really are carbon copies of other games before them, and playing them is becoming somewhat of a chore.

what do you think makes Warrior Epic stand out from the rest?

I love this question... here are some of the main features that make Warrior Epic stand out as an innovative F2P game:

Strategy in the Gameplay:

There will be a hard line between classes that will force groups of players to co-operate with one another in a quest. An emphasis on strategic play is also realized in the "limited resources" mentality that we have executed. By not being a recharge game, and by limiting skills, potions, and spirit summons... the players is forced to use these things wisely.

Managing a Warrior Hall:

In Warrior Epic, not only are you leveling your Warriors... but you are actually playing a "leadership" role by managing a hall that houses your classes. This hall is leveled and built upon, which also directly affects the effectiveness of your warriors.

Warrior Spirits: When your warrior dies, they actually have a spirit that can be equipped onto another Warrior and used in battle. The type and strength of the spirit summon directly correlates with the class-type and strength of the Warrior at their time of death.

Players may also, of course, resurrect their Warrior Spirits into back theirliving forms and continue fighting with them.

PvP:

We are working hard to make our PvP awesome. The system mixes arena-type PvP with an RTS flare. Players attack their opponent's base with a horde of monsters that they summon from their spawn portal.

While these monsters spawn, the players attempt to capture and hold strategic points on the map. Players receive gold as they kill their opponent's monsters and hold the strategic points. As their gold accumulates, they are able to purchase items from the three separate shops within their own base.

All MMOs have the same basic elements just like all fantasy books have the same basic things in them. It's just little tiny differences between one and the other so it really doesn't matter wether it's korean or what ever just play it.

I remember when mmorpgs were RPGS.

I remember when the graphics were not childish.

I remember when mmorpgs were HARD.

I remember when mmorpgs had a STORY LINE.

I remember when mmorpgs weren't developed by Koreans.

I remember when the mmorpgs required more than your hand to play.(your brain was essential)

I remember when mmorpgs were hard to be pwnd by 8 years ultra-strong-cash-equips-rich-kids.

I remember when Gms were nice people instead hardcore-gamers.

I remember when the games WERE GLOBAL.

I remember when mmorpgs had a nice community and good /honorable players.

    When MMORPGs was Fun?

I like S4 Leageue, its pretty fun. The Gfx aren't bad, the music is fun and energetic. However the game gives me a headache after an hour or so playing.... There is a bit of an issue as far as Lag goes. It's the specific person/player lagging, not the entire server. Other than that though...its pretty fun. Oh and I had my first experience with a hacker/glitcher/cheater. God it was annoying...

Champion Online will be just as horrible as City of Heroes/Villians. My money is on DC Universe Online, DC has some the best heroes of all time. Imagine fight along side Batman or Superman. I know SOE is working with WB and they messed up both Star Wars Galaxies and The Matrix, but who knows. They might actual get it right with DCUO. None the less I know Cryptic and they suck way more than Sony.

Who will be the CHAMPION in the online Superhero Wars?

Mabi is fairly easy if you play it for longer than 2 weeks. But does it need skill? Hardly. It takes mental conditioning to the system, and repetition of the few successful tactics. A trained monkey can do this crap.

The PvE system takes some getting used to for sure, but when you learn a set of tactics to use against the basic types of dungeon monsters, that's all you'll ever use (from a range of 5 chains of skills/attacks).

Same goes for bosses. You use the fire-counter (maybe slow walk if it's a stomping boss) and you can do it. Again pretty basic...

    What's the Most Challenging MMORPG?

S4 all the way. S4 follows the instructions of the game way more than gunz. In gunz I find ppl try to beat the system alot by not fighting "straight up". Like the whole slash-shot gun move. After that gunz jus lost it's taste to me. i really like s4 much better.

Don't know what NCsoft is up to, but whatever they are doing, they are doing it nicely, and it ain't hurting nobody. Just love how NCsoft is now investing in games that will stand a chance to live just as long as Maplestory (don't you DARE boo me). Another game to make room in my hard-drive for.

    hmm... nice game!

But why they always make games in such catoon graphics?

Really I don't get it-.- to be honest i like the skill effects and so on but why why using that character disign? i mean i wanna play a game in which the chars look like mature figures and not like little freaking kiddys with overdimensional weapons>.<
