So for all point and purpose, Richman Online is a room based MMO somewhere in between Monopoly and Mario Party, and is jam packed with characters, maps, game modes, and item cards for your playing pleasure. There's also a premium content store that sells different looks for your character alongside some new vehicles that allow for extra dice rolls, and special item cards that have various effects. Let's take a look in some more detail.
Game Modes:
Regular Play: This is your Monopoly version of the game. Buy Land, Stock and Cards, and pray to whichever god you worship that your opponent lands on your hotels. Landing on an empty piece of land gives you the option to buy, landing on it again gives you the option to upgrade. Having 2 or more pieces of land in a row increases your intake when somebody lands on one of them. There are many cards and mascots floating around to add a twist to the game, some of which are explained below. This is your standard mode, and in my opinion easily the most enjoyable.
Competitive Play: Unlike in regular play, where the main focus is building property and buying shares to eliminate your opponent, Competitive Play will have you using all manner on boom's and blau's known to man to trap and ultimately destroy your opponents instead. This may as well be an entire new game all together, and it's loads of fun.
Boss Play: As the name suggests, the main focus of Boss Play is working as a team to defeat a boss with massive health. It uses a combination of the above two play styles with altered settings. You Can't build houses and hotels, but you can build structures like Pyramids and Research Facility's that have various effects on the game. As you would expect, all weapons are enabled, and the enemy will be making full use of themĄ
Power-ups:
Cards: Cards act in the same way as items do in most other games. There's a truckload of different types, and when used correctly all of them have the power to me devastating. Listing them all would take days, but I've included a small list of some of the common ones below.
All MMOs have the same basic elements just like all fantasy books have the same basic things in them. It's just little tiny differences between one and the other so it really doesn't matter wether it's korean or what ever just play it.
Well its just cultural values.
Japan-China and most of asia= Society > Individual, so most people like to play in groups and because their social skills are not that good (mostly because of the behavior that the society upholds) they tend to compensate it at the games. So the party system is the core of tha game togheter with the grinding.
US and most of America= Individual > Society, most people like to play solo in a complicated and long storyline, parties? most people just dont like to share the XP and even items, well its just like WOW, people can hit lvl 50+ just soloing. Party is most used for raids and boss.
I've got to say the first time I watched this I was totally amazed, the character designs by Hyung-Tae Kim looked beautiful. Everything from the character's movement and facial expression moved fluidly, and the landscapes looked great. Judging from these features the game would most likely be pay to play. I'm guessing the reason people are saying this might come to PS3 is because NCsoft signed a contract with Sony, so there MIGHT be a possibility. Overall the video is in' addicting and I love it!!!! Mabi is fairly easy if you play it for longer than 2 weeks. But does it need skill? Hardly. It takes mental conditioning to the system, and repetition of the few successful tactics. A trained monkey can do this crap.
The PvE system takes some getting used to for sure, but when you learn a set of tactics to use against the basic types of dungeon monsters, that's all you'll ever use (from a range of 5 chains of skills/attacks).
Same goes for bosses. You use the fire-counter (maybe slow walk if it's a stomping boss) and you can do it. Again pretty basic...
I just have too say im annoyed about the time you have too wait till a game releeases sometimes I have no games too play and I go crazy and just try to find a new one on internet i find one but DAMN its korean NO I go crazy and I start hating koreans cause they always get
great games and we cant create the game until 1 year after or so so basicly blade & soul coming 2010 or w/e and aion 2009 YAY gota wait forever Colaman made a comment on When MMORPGs was Fun?
Don't know what NCsoft is up to, but whatever they are doing, they are doing it nicely, and it ain't hurting nobody. Just love how NCsoft is now investing in games that will stand a chance to live just as long as Maplestory (don't you DARE boo me). Another game to make room in my hard-drive for.
But why they always make games in such catoon graphics?
Really I don't get it-.- to be honest i like the skill effects and so on but why why using that character disign? i mean i wanna play a game in which the chars look like mature figures and not like little freaking kiddys with overdimensional weapons>.<
