Summary:
I'd be lying if I said I was fully prepared for the recent News of new MMO all over the world. Let's check out what's the latest big news! Such as the first screenshots from warhammer 40,000 Online, exclusive image about Stargate World, what will make classical single-player games moving online stand out, and the kinds of mystery projects from leading developers etc.
The science fiction Warhammer 40,000 online will absolutely the different one to other Fantasy MMOs, such as Warhammer. How different it would be? Let's check out the first screenshots from it.
Two new classes will be added in the 1.4 version of Pirates of the Burning Sea, supplementary some changes. All of the changes discussed in the devlogs are slated for build 1.4, which should be hitting testbed in early to mid May.
A lot of the cutthroat changes were aimed at skill order and acquisition instead of new skills, since they already have so much functionality. The old skullduggery and evasion chains are gone, although some of the skills still exist. Due to the addition of the Buccaneer, Cutthroats now have the same number of skills as other careers. The two careers are intended to work together with complimentary abilities to compete on even terms against national groups. The removed skills were generally tiered skills and redundant skills. Were trying to move all the important Cutthroat functionality into a more condensed list, thereby providing more options with the same skill selection. This is harder to quantify, but important.
the Buccaneer is an advanced career that focuses on taking advantage of the moment. Its not the career you want to jump into when you havent played the game before. They're like the evil twin of a Freetrader that was mentored by a Privateer. Their ability set is toggle-light, as most of their skills are situational abilities that confer a temporary bonus in combat. Where the Cutthroat is analogous to a Blackbeard-style take no prisoners pirate, the Buccaneer has more in common with the mafia ¨C organized crime that attempts to hide behind a legitimate business front. That distinction is visible throughout their skill tree in their wide assortment of subversive abilities. They're especially suited to taking down large targets. They're an advanced career because they were expressly designed for elder game PvP. That becomes especially apparent in the 30s, as thats where their toolbox reaches critical mass.
All MMOs have the same basic elements just like all fantasy books have the same basic things in them. It's just little tiny differences between one and the other so it really doesn't matter wether it's korean or what ever just play it.
I like S4 Leageue, its pretty fun. The Gfx aren't bad, the music is fun and energetic. However the game gives me a headache after an hour or so playing....
There is a bit of an issue as far as Lag goes. It's the specific person/player lagging, not the entire server.
Other than that though...its pretty fun. Oh and I had my first experience with a hacker/glitcher/cheater. God it was annoying...
Champion Online will be just as horrible as City of Heroes/Villians. My money is on DC Universe Online, DC has some the best heroes of all time. Imagine fight along side Batman or Superman. I know SOE is working with WB and they messed up both Star Wars Galaxies and The Matrix, but who knows. They might actual get it right with DCUO. None the less I know Cryptic and they suck way more than Sony.
Mabi is fairly easy if you play it for longer than 2 weeks. But does it need skill? Hardly. It takes mental conditioning to the system, and repetition of the few successful tactics. A trained monkey can do this crap.
The PvE system takes some getting used to for sure, but when you learn a set of tactics to use against the basic types of dungeon monsters, that's all you'll ever use (from a range of 5 chains of skills/attacks).
Same goes for bosses. You use the fire-counter (maybe slow walk if it's a stomping boss) and you can do it. Again pretty basic...
S4 all the way. S4 follows the instructions of the game way more than gunz. In gunz I find ppl try to beat the system alot by not fighting "straight up". Like the whole slash-shot gun move. After that gunz jus lost it's taste to me. i really like s4 much better.
Don't know what NCsoft is up to, but whatever they are doing, they are doing it nicely, and it ain't hurting nobody. Just love how NCsoft is now investing in games that will stand a chance to live just as long as Maplestory (don't you DARE boo me). Another game to make room in my hard-drive for.
But why they always make games in such catoon graphics?
Really I don't get it-.- to be honest i like the skill effects and so on but why why using that character disign? i mean i wanna play a game in which the chars look like mature figures and not like little freaking kiddys with overdimensional weapons>.<
