For those of you familiar with my other reviews, you should be well aware of my fondness for action games, especially when those games involve skill-based combat and the need for quick thinking and razor edged reflexes, not that I have any of those qualities mind you. But still, for most gamers, there is nothing more satisfying than earning rewards based on their skill as players and not just the hours they are willing to spend sitting in front of the PC, clicking away and randomly tapping the odd keyboard command here and there.
That is why, when I heard about the re-release of Infinity online, previously published by Windysoft and now by Netgames, I got so exited, I could barely contain myself.
Anyway, in light of its recent release to closed beta and having had the chance to play it, I thought now would be a good time to deliver my review, which may be of interest to many potential players, seeing as the open beta test is looming in the near future, just weeks from now.
Infinity online is instantly different from other more notable MMORPGs which have been released in recent years and has taken a step back from the heavily involved grinding fantasy worlds and adopted the guise of a game which might be best explained as a casual. That is to say, players need not spend sleepless nights grinding away on NPCs to obtain that next level, or to be able to afford that really cool glowing sword.
