Summary:
With all the recent games lately I have been one busy little bee. For the past few weeks now, I have been downloading, playing, analyzing and then reviewing.
Yet, don't get me wrong, you have few skills to begin with, but gain access to more of them as your character levels up throughout the game. This is achieved through raising your experience, through slaying monsters and completing quests given to you by NPC characters. Although the questing and grinding is nothing games have not seen or experienced previously, Holic adds decent plots, swift action and cool looking monsters to make this more enjoyable for players. In addition, the quests also give you decent rewards, unlike other MMOs, thus questing is actually an activity most players will take part in and thus be more engaged in a story adventure game, rather than just another boring, repetitive, grinding, hack fest.
The classes players can choose from at the start of the game include warrior, priest, monk, mage and rouge. However, as you progress through the game, you are also able to gain a second job class, which you can switch to whilst engaged in battle, thus allowing players to engage in dynamic and multi-skills combat action. Resultantly, skill actually becomes an important facet in this game, as it becomes important for players to strategize before and whilst in battle and also to have a solid understanding of their own players strengths and weaknesses, role in battle, skills, effects and also an awareness of their enemies strengths and weaknesses.
