Sure graphs are decent, music much better than otehr games.
Players all look alike after level 2 ... on low resolution setting, all players seem similar. Healers and Mages look the same, warrios and defenders look the same. We all look a pathetic shade of grey color items, with a slight shade of purple and brown. BUT.... this is how it appears on low settings graphs (sorry, but my system is rather old and can not play it in any higher resolution/ settigns)
For me, this is a minus... because other games, more demanding on CPU power, look very nicely in low settings ( Last Chaos, DOMO, 9dragons, 2mmons, cabal, even dungeon drifters). But Shaiya for some reason looks like a dull grey.
Second problem for me... no monster variery. There must be a total of 20 monsters with different names and levels and thats it.
I repeat here... its close beta... and my experience is only for the first map ( I think each faction has 3 maps, plus 3 PvP zones, so for beta we have access to 9 maps)
