NCsoft has just announced the next expansion to the popular MMO, City of Heroes/Villains. This will be the tenth episode, called "Issue 10: Invasion," and will feature the return of the Rikti. The alien race is now bent on the destruction of Earth and have started with a beachhead near Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. There`s now a new area for Levels 35-50 near a crashed mother ship, called the "Rikti War Zone." This new zone will come with new salvage and recipes to use, as well as a number of new missions. Besides being full of Rikti, the area is also dotted with several pylons that attack all comers and will require a concentrated effort by several heroes to destroy. Unfortunately, NCsoft has yet to announce a release date for the expansion, so we?ll just have to wait to hear form them on that.
