The Lord of the Rings Online Review( By lycankerath ) -- 2007-01-08
KeyWord: The Lord of the Rings Online, Review, lycankerath Date: 2007-01-08
Summary:I give this a 10/10 on this to do from quest to just hanging with friends, while they have many quests it can almost feel endless and can be boring at times if you are not a quest fan.
Game Title: The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar
Genre: Fantasy
Status: Open Beta
Developer: Turbine Entertainment
Publisher: Turbine Entertainment

System requirements
There is no set requirements at this time in the phase and there is no set date for when they will tell us what is needed to play.

Comparison:
The Lord of the Rings Online to me is like playing World of Warcraft, while playing Dungeons and Dragons, While being in a vast land and community that of EverQuest, but small in leveling caps like EverQuest 2.

First impression:
Based from the books of J.R.R. Tolkien set in the land of middle earth two years after the books, when you step into the vast lands of middle earth you really feel as if you?re really in the land of middle earth set from the books, being from vast lands and cities too vast dungeons and forests for you to explore with friends or alone though I wouldn?t recommend going alone into some spooky forest or big dungeon the very first time you play, and for people who are claustrophobic shouldn?t try this as well, from the time I played Lord of the Rings Online I really felt like I was truly in middle earth it was truly a fun experience I cant forget.

Graphics:
I would give it an overall 9/10 when you put all of the graphics up all the way up they can almost be compared to Elders Scroll IV Oblivion though the characters graphics are not as great and grand as the overall graphics and the textures are not as great as the rest of the games, they do make up for lack of textures in characters by giving you a vast amount of options for changing graphics from turning textures up for lighting, the environment, the sky, water effects, shadowing effects, and many other options you can choose from, overall the graphics are very nice for an upcoming MMORPG they could get better though.
