| Pirate King Online Review ( By John Smith )
Game Title: Pirate King Online Genre: Piracy (No not stealing, like Blackbeard the Pirate) Status: Beta Developer: MOLI Official Website: http://www.piratekingonline.com Client size: 363MB Client Download: http://www.piratekingonline.com/download.php?sid=1
System Requirements CPU: Pentium III 800MHz RAM: 256MB Video Card: 16 MB 3D Accelerated Graphic Card Free Hard Disk Space: 1.0GB Speed: 256MB
Comparison: Similarities: Leveling by either doing quests or killing monsters, party of 5, trading system, teleporting supported.
Differences: Choice of pirate or navy guilds, Support of using both character and ships, proffesions not commonly seen in other games.
My Impression: Graphics: 7.5/10 Pretty good graphics, the effects aernĄŽt bad but there is nothing special compared to other games. I like the way of how you can use top view and 3rd person view.
Sound: 7.5/10 The sound also wasnĄŽt too bad, but it also wasnĄŽt too great. Since it was nothing special, i muted the game.
Gameplay: 9/10 Gameplay is quite good in this game, especially since the MOLI Group (the developers of PKO) have put in support of different types of ships, in which you go fishing, kill sea monsters, or even go trading across the seas.
Community: 6.5/10 The community was quite pleasant to play with, some rude players. But overall they were quite good. Unfortunately, 90% of the GMĄŽs donĄŽt listen to the players unless they are either swearing or doing something else wrong. This is why i gave the community 6.5/10.
Value: This is probably a bad game to play if you want value, especially if you are going to sell individual items or your account after you stop playing. This game just started off in July, so not many players would pay anything for your efforts.
Unique Features: The unique features of this game, like i mentioned before, are the use of ships, in which i have never seen before in an MMORPG. The unique jobs are also another thing to look at when playing this game. The job herbalist and Explorer are professions i have seen before and this really attracted me to playing the game. |
