"Battle of Shadows" is a PVP Strategy Siege Game.

In this game you build up the strength of you character in the battlefield thoug wars against your enemy using strong weapons and magical skills. The ultimate aim of the game is to defeat the enemy and conquer their base camp. The concept of Battle of Shadows is based around the final war between the powers of darkness and light, incorporating the world views of the Middle Ages and the Isometric [Quarter] views such as the RTS.

"Battle of Shadows" is based on the period before the Industrial revolution, where science denied all supersstition. It was a time of conflict between magic and science. Magic was used to deal with superstition and science attempted to exclude all the senselessness. Those who transcended human power detected the potential threat of danger to the world. This game depicts the antagonism betweenthe transcenders and the humans.

What's better thanhealing diseases with magic?

In the Dark Ages the black plague was regarded not as an infectious disease, but a curse of God, and people held the belief that being treated by a shaman would heal such horrible disease. Conquering of the world by humans had yet to be made and science gained its credibility within the Ptolemaic system while the world was lit by a single torch. For the king, the nobles and the knights, this was the world. However, there were hidden powers that had secretly controlled the world, and those powers lay with the transcenders who were not human, the Mages who were regarded as both human and non-human and Hunters.

The vampries, the key power of the dark side, were cursed with hunger for blood. For them, it was impossible to escape from the desperate feeling of constant starvation until their lives ended in the world.

As the uppermost predators in the food chain, the vampires reigned over the humans and threatened the indolent. However as more people became aware of the existence of the vampires, the humans retaliated.

Nomatter how weak herbivores are, their strength can be great in numbers.

The human begin their retaliation against the vampires. Tombs of vampires are dug during the day and finally, the food chain in the world is reconstructed.

Moreover a new type of beings who hold extraordinary abilities beyond human power emerge and begin the fight against the supernatural beings that threatenthe humans race.

They call themselves the 'Hunters'. Believing their fate is to come face to face with the dark side, the hunters make their step towards the battle fields in order to protect their family. They are bestowed their superhuman abilities through special experiences and awareness.

The violent clash between the humans and vampires is only the beginning for the human's fight for vested rights over the world, and the hunters keep constant watch for another chance to rebel.

The Arcain Secret that was established in 12th century has set the values of the human for a long time from the shadows of the world. There is a belief that every disease that the humans suffer is originated from a curse.

The newly risen power called Scientia tries to drive away such false belief by providing science based evidence on the origins of disease.

If science is given to mankind, people will become aware of the function of the world through science and mysticism will be rejected, shifting the paradigm of the world.

The Arcane Secrets afraid of the influence from the paradigm shift and decides to share their power with darkness as a way to protect mysticism and magic. Onthe other hand, Scientia supports the rebellion of the humans and unite with the power of light to initiate their act for the rational enlightenment, suppressing the arbitrary supernatural matters.
