| The uses of pets
are as followed:
Combat
Pets - These will follow you around,
everywhere you go (or you may store them
at your house or daycare center) they will
help you in battles and other events. Examples
would be perhaps a wolverine, or one of
our own made up fantasy creatures.
Transportation
Pets - These are pets, which are
used for transportation services. You can
ride on their back to get around places
easier and quicker. Examples could be riding
on the back of a horse, or soaring through
the sky on a dragons back.
Afelhem also features
player owned housing. For an in-game fee,
you may buy a standard house, which you
may upgrade as much as you like. There will
be many of these houses, however the exterior
will act as everyone else¡¯s house,
the inside will fully custom to you however,
you will need a key to get to your house.
On the other hand, you can buy better houses
as well. Many houses will be set up around
Afelhem in which characters can buy, and
only they will have access to the house
(unless they invite a friend over). Houses
can be used to store items and are also
used for storing pets. If you do not have
a house, your pet can stay in a daycare
center for a fee.
The
Guild/Clan System - We plan to
have a very nice guild system implemented.
To make a guild, you must get two other
people with you and then you will have to
register at the guild registration office.
As always, there will be a fee. The fee
will also cover your guild headquarters.
You will receive a small room to have guild
meetings and discussions. Once you get 30
people into your guild, you can go back
to the guild registration office and get
a better headquarters, you can choose between
the Hero?s guild, and the Chaos guild. The
hero?s guild is intended for those wanting
a clean guild, which helps others and possesses
heroic traits. The Chaos guild would be
for those guilds which posses evil traits
and style?s. Each will have a unique look
depending on the guild you choose.
Player
owned shops - Players will be able
to purchase shops to sell their items, even
while they are offline. Many shop stalls
will be set up through cities. However,
you may only have one player per stall,
and to prevent abuse to this system, your
shop may only be open for 3 days. If you
want, you can get a grant of 6 days for
a larger fee. Players with the Pirate class
will be able to set up a shop anywhere in
the main harbor city.
Other
good things to know - There will
be a free version, and a paid version (5-6
dollars USD a month). There is a weather
system, along with day and night. It is
a very dynamic world. Npc¡¯s have a
great deal of artificial intelligence; they
may be taking an early morning walk on Tuesday,
or at the tavern on a Friday night.
